The short version

Active couples get the most from Couples Swept Away. The adults-only resort puts 312 suites on 19 acres of Negril's Seven Mile Beach, then adds a 10-acre sports and fitness complex with clay and hard tennis courts, four pickleball courts, squash, racquetball and a 25-meter lap pool. Scuba and green fees at Negril Hills Golf Course are included, and seven restaurants and eight bars take care of the evenings.

• There are seven restaurants, eight bars, three pools and five hot tubs.
• The 10-acre sports and fitness complex has clay and hard tennis courts, four pickleball courts, two squash and two racquetball courts, a 25-meter lap pool, a gym, saunas and steam rooms.
• Sunset catamaran cruises, scuba, and green fees with transport to Negril Hills Golf Course are included. Caddies and carts cost extra.
• Couples said its resorts would reopen on December 1, 2025 after Hurricane Melissa, and later confirmed all of them were fully operational again.

Before you book

• Clothing-optional sunbathing is not allowed here. It is the only Couples resort without a clothing-optional area, so ask me about the others if that matters to you.
• The included sunset catamaran cruise needs a stay of at least three nights.
