Beaches Exuma

The short version

Put this one on the long-range list. Beaches Exuma is being rebuilt from the former Sandals Emerald Bay on Great Exuma, which closed in August 2024. The plans call for multi-bedroom villas, 12 restaurants, a new Kids Camp and splash deck, a Red Lane Spa and access to the 18-hole Emerald Bay golf course. The company's chairman has pointed to fall 2027, but the official page still says the opening date is to be announced.

Before you book

Beaches Exuma is not open yet, and its official page still says the opening date is to be announced. In May 2026 the company's chairman said it opens in fall 2027. Ask me and I'll tell you what has been confirmed before you plan around it.
