A complete refurbishment is turning Riu Palace Mexico into an adults-only resort, which makes it one for couples and friends rather than families. It sits on the beach in the Playacar development, with five pools, one with a swim-up bar, and five bars. The work adds a spa, a sports bar and an Elite Club with VIP rooms, a private pool and its own restaurant. Reopening was set for September 2026, so ask me to confirm it's open.
