The short version

Closed for renovation right now, Riu Palace Jamaica is due back in December 2026, according to RIU's own page. It is the adults-only Palace hotel on Mahoe Bay, and its page lists 288 rooms, three infinity pools with in-water loungers, five bars and seven places to eat, from an Italian restaurant and a steakhouse to a jerk station on the beach. Elite Club rooms add their own check-in and private dining areas.

• An adults-only beachfront hotel in RIU's Palace line, with 288 guest rooms.
• Seven places to eat: the Montego Bay buffet, Zen (Asian), Krystal (gourmet), L'Acquedotto (Italian), the Seaside steakhouse, a jerk station on the beach and a restaurant for Elite Club guests.

• Book an Elite Club room and you get a separate check-in and private dining areas.

• The hotel is under renovation, and the official page gives December 2026 for reopening. Ask me and I'll confirm the date before you plan around it.
• Adults only: RIU lists it among its adults-only hotels, where the general minimum age is 18.
